Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 4, 2026

Brave Life ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website bravelifenow.com and related event services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our platform.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you register for events or interact with our services, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, and phone number (when you register for events)
  • Photos uploaded by event organizers during Brave Life events
  • Selfie images you voluntarily submit through our "Find My Photos" feature

Information We Generate

  • Face geometry data derived from event photos for the purpose of grouping similar faces together within a single event
  • Face match scores when you use the "Find My Photos" selfie search

Facial Recognition, Biometric Data, and Photo Search

Our event gallery includes a "Find My Photos" feature that uses facial recognition technology. We want to be fully transparent about how this works.

What We Collect and Process

  • Face geometry data — When event photos are uploaded, we detect faces and generate mathematical representations (embeddings) to group similar faces together within that event's gallery. This makes it easier for attendees to browse photos by person.
  • Selfie matching — When you use "Find My Photos," you upload or capture a selfie. We generate a temporary face embedding from your selfie and compare it against the face clusters in that specific event to find photos you appear in.

Purpose

Facial recognition is used only for:

  • Organizing event photos by grouping similar faces (so you can browse by person)
  • Matching your selfie to event photos so you can find pictures of yourself

We do not use facial recognition for surveillance, identification, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond photo organization and search within events.

How Selfies Are Handled

When you upload a selfie to "Find My Photos":

  • Your selfie image is processed in memory only — it is never saved to our database or file storage
  • A temporary face embedding is generated, used to find matching photos, and then immediately discarded
  • No record of your selfie or its embedding is retained after the search completes

Data Scope and Retention

  • Face data (embeddings and clusters) is scoped to a single event — we do not track faces across different events
  • There is no cross-event facial profile, no persistent identity, and no way to link your face data between events
  • Face data is deleted when the event is removed from our system, or after a period of inactivity

No Sale or Sharing

We never sell, license, trade, or share biometric data or face geometry with any third party. This data exists solely within our system for the photo features described above.

Your Rights — Deletion

You can request deletion of any face data associated with your likeness at any time. To make a request, email connect@bravelifenow.com with the subject "Face Data Deletion Request." We will process your request promptly.

Consent

By attending a Brave Life event where photography is present, you acknowledge that event photos may be processed with facial recognition for the purpose of photo organization within that event's gallery.

By using the "Find My Photos" feature, you provide explicit consent for us to temporarily process your selfie to match your face against event photos. This is a voluntary action — you are never required to use this feature.

  • Process event registrations and send you event details
  • Display event photos and enable the photo search feature
